The science behind the perfect massage

2D, 3D and 4D, what's the difference?

The label describes how many directions the massage rollers can move in. More dimensions mean a more precise, more human-like massage.

Two directions

The rollers move up-down and left-right along the spine. A basic yet effective massage with a fixed pressure depth.

Three directions

Depth is added. The rollers extend forward and back to adjust pressure intensity. The massage becomes firmer and more dynamic.

Four dimensions

The fourth dimension is rhythm: the chair varies the speed and tempo of the strokes in real time. The result comes closest to the touch of human hands.

Precision in every movement

The massage rollers follow the shape of your spine in multiple directions, while sensors adapt the pressure in real time. The result is a massage closer to a human hand than a mechanism.

Core technologies

Every flagship iRest model combines several systems that work together in a single relaxation experience.

Motion

SL-track

An extended S- and L-shaped track guides the rollers continuously from the neck, along the natural curve of the spine, all the way to the thighs and glutes. One smooth stroke covers the whole body, with no break at the lower back.

Adaptation

Automatic body adaptation

Before the massage begins, the chair scans your back and automatically maps your shoulder position, spine length and tender points. Each program adapts to your exact build, with no manual adjustment.

Position

Zero Gravity

A position inspired by the posture of astronauts at launch. The legs rise above heart level and body weight distributes evenly across the backrest, relieving the spine. The massage works deeper while the body feels weightless.

Space

Zero Wall, against the wall

As the chair reclines, it simultaneously glides forward. It needs only a few centimetres to the wall for a full recline, so it fits even a smaller room without sacrificing comfort.

Heat

Thermal heating

Heating elements in the lumbar and foot areas relax the muscles, improve circulation and deepen the massage. Warmth prepares the tissue for deeper kneading and soothes pleasantly after a demanding day.

Air

Air compression

Dozens of airbags inflate and deflate rhythmically, gently squeezing the shoulders, arms, hips, calves and feet. Compression massage stimulates lymphatic flow and works the areas the rollers can't reach.

Stretch

Full-body stretch

Using airbags and recline, the chair gently stretches the spine and joints, much like a closing yoga stretch. It releases tension, improves mobility and creates a sense of length in the body.

Feet

Foot and calf massage

Rotating rollers beneath the feet and calf compression mimic a reflexology massage. The area that carries the weight of the whole day gets special attention.
